Books: Resume Writing, Interview Skills etc.

Books can be much cheaper and potentially offer you more knowledge on resume writing, career planning etc. than paying for professional services, as long as you are willing to put in the time and read them. They are not a substitute, however, and will never give you "experience" which is what you get from using a professional. For example, if you have a career plan and resume written up, but you are still not getting interviews for the jobs you really want, then a professional may well be able to point out what you are missing.

As with all text books out there the quality and price can vary a lot. Look at the contents covered or samples of a book if possible before you buy to see if it will be of use to you.

Physical Vs E-books: Physical books tend to cost more and take longer to deliver, but E-books require a computer to read them.
